Hope everyone had a great new year! I plan to start working on adding some new OVM3 content here soon. If there are certain issues you are running into, feel free to comment on this post and I will research what I can to help you out.
Take care,

Roger,
I was curious about something after reading your entry on adding physical devices to a guest. Have you tested live migration or HA when attaching physical devices to a VM? I am curious if live migration from one host to another functions properly when devices are mapped explicitly to a guest.
Hi,
Your blog is great and it contains lot of info.
Can u tell how we can upgrade oracle vm 2.x to oracle vm 3.0.2
and do u know any advantages of oracle vm 3.0.2 over oracle vm 2.x
for example if we have a large setup of ovs servers and many virtual machines.
Thank You
Regards
Harish
There is no real upgrade process from OVM 2.x to OVM 3.x. OVM 3.x requires a new installation, but you can of course copy your VMs to the new repository. As for advantages, OVM 3.x has a much better Manager and has support for xen 4.0
